George Foulard, MD is a board-certified interventional radiologist who specializes in minimally invasive, image-guided treatments for joint pain, fibroids, enlarged prostate, and vascular disease. He is a regional leader in genicular artery embolization (GAE), helping patients find lasting relief without surgery.
George Foulard, MD is a board-certified interventional radiologist specializing in minimally invasive, image-guided treatments for complex vascular and nonvascular conditions. He is recognized for advancing patient care with innovative techniques that maximize safety, comfort, and outcomes.
Dr. Foulard earned his bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He completed his surgical internship at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, followed by residency in diagnostic radiology and fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he trained with leaders in the specialty.
His clinical practice spans advanced treatments for uterine fibroids, enlarged prostate, peripheral arterial disease, and venous disease, performed in state-of-the-art outpatient facilities with the latest equipment and alternate access approaches. Beyond clinical care, Dr. Foulard has contributed research in pediatric cardiovascular surgery, interventional radiology, and health system resource management.
As a pioneer in musculoskeletal embolization, he has refined minimally invasive techniques for treating chronic joint pain and has performed more genicular artery embolizations (GAEs) than any physician in the region.
